Each family will be responsible to raise $500 through our fundraising program for the 2008-2009 school year. Fundraisers are scheduled at the beginning of the year and are listed below. A scheduled fundraiser may have to be canceled due to lack of participation. The yearly amount due will be broken into quarters with 1/3 of the money due at the end of each quarter for those who would like to stretch their fundraising efforts throughout the year.
Each family will be required to manage its own profits and turn money in promptly. A record of your family’s fundraising profits will be kept on file in the school office. Each family will choose what fundraisers it would like to participate in and will take the initiative to sign up by the deadline. Families have the option not to participate in any fundraisers and can pay the full fundraising amount in advance or make quarterly payments at its own expense.
The actual net profit of each amount turned in will be the amount tallied on your fundraising income record. For example, if a Discount Card sells for $10 each, but the school actually only receives $5 per card. You would turn in the $10 for each card sold, but would actually receive fundraising credit for $5 per card sold. Golf tournament pledges are credited for the full amount pledged when collected in full.
The $500 to be raised through fundraising will be mandatory for each family. If a family is unable to make its fundraising contribution, it will need to meet with the School Board to discuss its commitment to the school. The Administrator is not authorized to waive any family’s fundraising contribution; that is a matter that will only be handled by the School Board.
This does not limit families to only the planned fundraisers. Any family can come up with other reasonable fundraising activities for Heritage Oak with prior approval from the School Board and within the fundraising guidelines set by the COBC elder board.
Note: The School Board and Administrator want to express a heartfelt thank you to all the hardworking families in the community. We know that fundraising can be inconvenient, but you’ve kept it up and done a good job. God has always been good to fill in where we have fallen short, and He has blessed our efforts with good academics, good curricula, and good faithful teachers and office staff. Thank you all, again!
