School History
Heritage Oak School began in 1994 as a community school of home schooling families who wanted to remain very involved in their child(ren)'s Christian education. In 1999 we decided to incorporate the classical, Christian curricula from Logos School and Veritas Academy.
Christ was born during the reign of Caesar Augustus, and Christianity took root and grew to maturity in the West. Because Christianity has western cultural roots, we choose to promote the teaching of certain subjects so that this context is thoroughly understood and fully appreciated. These subjects include ancient and modern history taught chronologically, both classical and modern languages including Latin, as well as contemporary cultures, all of which are studied in light of biblical Christianity. We recognize our cultural heritage as a gift from God, and we ground all that we seek to do upon the revelation of God so that our students are able to view all knowledge through a Christ-focused lens. We believe that we are educating for eternity, and that the most important knowledge we can impart is a knowledge of the crucified, risen, and soon-returning Savior.
